WorkIt! Programmes for Organisations

Are language barriers holding back ideas?
A lack of confidence in professional English communication can act as an invisible barrier for your staff.
When valuable insights are lost and great ideas go unheard, everyone misses out.
Language programmes build confidence
I partners with companies, public sector bodies, social enterprises, and NGO’s to bridge the gap between technical ability and confident English communication. I don’t just teach the language; I provide customised coaching and group sessions to fit your needs.

The WorkIt! Language in Action cohort programme
Small group coaching with a linguistic twist
My unique approach to language development, Language in Action combines Action Learning Sets with Language Skill Building. Let’s turn real-world work challenges into our curriculum and build our linguistic skills at the same time.
What to expect
Small group cohort (5-8 individuals) meeting approximately 1 x month for 6 months. Each session includes:
30 MIN: Linguistic Skill-Builder
Every session begins with a targeted “micro-lesson” on a specific professional language skill (e.g., mastering the art of signposting, using the conditional tense to propose solutions, or using appropriate professional tone).
45-60 MIN: Action Learning Cycle
Participants apply these skills immediately as they present and work through real workplace challenges through the action learning set approach.
15 MIN: Reflective practice
The session ends with reflections on both the problem, solution, and the language used.
Why it works
Evidence-Based Methodology: Action Learning is a globally recognised framework for developing leadership and critical thinking.
Contextual Fluency: Participants apply the language in an authentic environment in real-time.
Deeper self-awareness: Participants learn to reflect and challenge the thought patterns and beliefs that guide their actions, enabling new perspectives on situations and their own potential.
Benefits
| Workplace Benefits | Language Benefits |
| Empowered decision-making: Participants gain confidence to think critically and solve workplace challenges. | Functional Language Toolkit: Participants gain a toolbox of functional language skills, vocabulary, and grammar, related to their roles. |
| Access to new ideas: Participants feel confident communicating ideas and raising questions. | Fluency and Confidence: Participants gain confidence communicating complex ideas and concepts in English. |
| More supportive teams: Participants develop interpersonal skills to support their teams, direct reports, and colleagues. | Psychological Safety: A dedicated, supportive space to practice communication skills. |
